Jennifer V. Miller Bio
Jennifer V. Miller is the Founder and Managing Partner of SkillSource, an organizational development consultancy that specializes in leadership development, teambuilding and sales relationship management. Ms. Miller started SkillSource in 1995 after spending nearly a decade managing the human resource and training functions for top companies such as Marshall Field’s, Foremost Insurance and Herman Miller.
Through her consulting Miller has provided her expertise nationally for a variety of industries and organizations, including Bissell, Blue Cross Blue Shield, EDS, Guardsman Products, Farmer’s Insurance, Kennametal and Valspar.
SkillSource provides consulting, coaching, train-the-trainer programs and facilitation services in the areas of communications, management, supervisory skills and team development. SkillSource is also an award-winning partner with Inscape Publishing Inc., a leading publisher of self-assessments for personal development.
A seasoned trainer and session facilitator, Miller has conducted thousands of sessions for well-known training companies such as Achieve Global, DDI and Miller Heiman. She has also created a number of customized training programs of her own, including the New Leader Transition Process, Train-the-Trainer workshop and the TeleService Skills Training program.
A published author, blogger and popular speaker, Jennifer holds a degree in psychology from Western Michigan University and is a former board member of the West Michigan Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement.
A strong believer in community service, Miller volunteers for organizations such as the Women’s Resource Center and Grandville Public schools. She has also held several board positions including the national board of directors for the Western Michigan University Alumni Association and the board of the Junior Achievement of the Michigan Great Lakes.
Jennifer and her husband Dean live with their two children in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
